I have iTunes open, and home sharing switched on.
Everything is on the same network, but the home sharing option is not there in music on either device.
Are you scrolling to the very bottom of the screen under Settings>Music on your devices? What iOS are you running?

Home sharing is logged in on both devices (iPhone 6 and iPad Pro). I 'm currently using El Capitan, and it was working a few weeks ago before my new hard drive was installed.
Well, it might have something to do with the path to the new hard drive. Have you tried signing out everywhere and then back in?

I tried all the troubleshooting when it didn't work initially.
The home sharing option just isn't there on the phone and iPad.
